This full reroof project marked the final roofing job of 2025 and delivered a clean, durable, and professionally finished result.
The existing slate roof was fully stripped and replaced with cement fibre slates, installed over a new breathable membrane with compliant 25×50 treated battens. Copper nails and rivets were used throughout, alongside dry verge and dry ridge systems where suitable to ensure long-term performance and low maintenance.
Chimneys were ground out and three-pointed, all leadwork was fully renewed including step flashings, soakers and plates, and a dry valley system was installed. New black half-round guttering was fitted front and rear, with a small ridge section wet-bedded where solid wall construction prevented mechanical fixing.
Full Roof Replacement and Dormer Installation – Langley Mill, Derbyshire
