Smalley is a village a few miles south of Heanor, and a run of re-roofs there means our team has spent plenty of time on its rooftops. Here is what we have done in the village recently.
The finished Double Roman roof in Smalley
Double Roman tiles and a new VELUX window
The main pitched roof on this Smalley house was renewed in Double Roman roof tiles, which give a clean, modern line from the street. We fitted a brand-new VELUX roof window at the same time, with the correct flashing kit around it so the window and the tiles shed water together, and the room below now gets far more natural light.

One roof over a house and its new extension
This job brought an existing house and a new extension together under one roof. We stripped the old covering back, laid a breathable roofing membrane and new treated timber battens, then covered both in Ludlow tiles, tying the new roof into the existing one so it reads as a single roof. Roof windows went in, along with new leadwork, weatherproof detailing and a dry ridge system along the top.

Stripped back to the battens
On another Smalley home the existing roof was stripped right back before we installed a new breathable membrane, 25x50 treated timber battens and a completely new tiled roof, giving the house a fresh look and a roof built to stand up to the weather.
Getting To You
Four Miles From Our Base
Smalley is about four miles west of our base in Ilkeston, between Heanor, Horsley Woodhouse and Denby, all places we work in, so it is a short trip for us to come out and look at your roof.
